A Garden and Goals For Growth

It's official. I have weeds. AHHHH! but on the bright side, I do have 2 new sprouts that I believe are peppers. I took a picture of my awesome garden!
See attachement.
I HAVE A READING PLAN TO FINISH THE BOOK OF MORMON IN ESPAÑOL! I'll finish it in about 2 months. I feel like a flake for the first year of my mission (not in a spiritual way, but I never set any goals with reading the Book of Mormon, I am excited that I have a goal now :) Jesus the Christ is also on the list of Books to finish in this next year. That one will take me about 3-4 months. I also will be starting and finishing Doctrine and Convenants, The Old and New Testaments which will bring me to the end of my mission. +-10 pages a day for a year. Lets see how this goes :)

Had an AWESOME WEEK OF REVELATION! Inverviews with Presidente Chaparro are probably my favorite thing in the whole mission. Stake confference Satuday night and Sunday. 4 sessions Priesthood, Adultos, Sunday North half of the Stake and then South half of the Stake. Elder Espenaous (I don't know how to spell his name). 4 sessions of awesomeness... Excited to apply what I learned.

I don't need money.
I'm rich.
I've got jalepeños on my balconey.

a Big hug from Argentina.

Jalapenos' or Weeds???

MOM I planted a garden and its starting to sprout!!!!!! (I hope the sprouts aren't weeds... I got the dirt from the river... now that I think about it, the sprouts might just be weeds... dangit.)
Whatever, I planted jalapenos'. 120 days and I'll have peppers!

3 But I, Nephi, have written what I have written, and I esteem it as of great worth, and especially unto my people. For I pray continually for them by day, and mine eyes water my pillow by night, because of them; and I cry unto my God in faith, and I know that he will hear my cry.

I love that scripture for 2 reasons,
1 Nephi had a pillow... LOVE THE DOCTRINE! haha
2 Love for others really changes our entire lives ... enough to leave your family for 2 years, or cry your eyes out for them.

Had a crazy baptism this weekend. Brenda (11) was supposed to be baptized Saturday night but we decided not to wait for the bishop once the clock hit 10:45pm.. we moved it to Sunday morning at 8:00am....  NO SLEEP!

Love you all very much!
I opened my April package! Thank you for the Emergency and the quotes and the flashlight (it doesn't work - I don't know if that was supposed to be a joke haha)

Love you love you love you!

A Palm Tree

Savannah,
You are the lucky one who gets my email this week. I don't have a full hour to write on the computer so I am emailing you!

I loved your question..."Tell me about someone you are teaching".

I want to share a little about Leo Arjona.

2 weeks ago Elder Brazell and I were walking back from a lesson that fell through and felt really disappointed that the family didn't want to listen to us...
We were walking in the street and a palm tree caught my eye (there aren't many in Argentina so it was out of ordinary to see it.) I felt that God planted the palm tree years before knowing that ME OF ALL PEOPLE would notice the palm tree and take it as a sign from God to talk with the family inside (I know... it's a stretch of a miracle but stay with me). Rang the door bell... no one home... next house.... no one.... determined...last house.... no one....waited. waited. waited. LEO ARJONA answers the door. He tells us to come back later. We come back. He lets us in and he just opens up right away.
"I have been really far from God and I feel like I need to come back. What do you two suggest?"
"I didn't have a good experience in my last church so I left, but I know that church is very important. So I felt like I should open the door to you."

Leo has a baby (his name is Nacho or Ignacio) and his girl friend Lourdes. He is golden!

A PALM TREE.... REALLY?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!??!?!? Years and Years aand YEARS of working with palm tress and God uses one to help us be guided to Leo...

Sitting in the General Conference I felt very very impressed that we needed to share eternal maraige with him (this was in our 2nd lesson!) I could just see in his eyes and you could just see that the spirit was working with him. Some times when the spirit is so strong some investigators get scared and actually go in the opposite direction. We have another lesson with him tomorrow at 4:00pm Arg time keep him in your prayers and Elder Brazell too..

I love you so much Savannah!
I wrote you a note today.

It should get to the house before Halloween.

I love you all... pass the message along to the rest of the family.

Fallen in Love

I am so great. I have fallen in love with Jujuy. I am in heaven here. My feet are lined with blisters and mud is all over my shoes and pants but I am actually learning how to work with the members. It is a talent and skill that I still have no idea how to use or obtain but the Lord is literally leading me and Elder Brazell by the hands and showing us how He wants us to help strengthen the Ward... please keep us in your prayers and pray specifically "That we may be able to find new families to teach who are prepared for the gospel through the members".

Ask dad to translate my conference experience so you can see how my weekend was.

Love you!
